Here are the incidents and stories told by one of the most iconic teacher Vishal Soni Sir during his engineering lectures.
Sometimes many students attend the classes just to listen his stories and the way he articulates them as a real actor. I was one of them as you'll see below that most of the time was spent on writing these stories told by him and not to learn the subject 😜
1st Story:
One student in live chat in the very first class asked that why do we even need to study the Control Systems in Electrical Engineering? As an answer to the question he responded the student by saying with conviction that we only need to study these subjects to get a great job so that we can do a wonderful marriage with someone gorgeous or handsome. Many student felt awkward at that time but they thought that Sir is maybe joking with them. But it turns out that he was not joking when he used to repeat this in later lectures as well!
2nd Story:
His stories at ESE, NIELIT, Prasar Bharati interview and ESE training were so amazing. He used to cut hair at 0 trimmer before attending any interview and describe a pathetic financial situation for this action. He admits that he used to do this to play an emotional game with the interview panel members to get selected. And to his surprise in every interview he was asked about his hair condition except ESE which earned him selections in each PSU interview.
3rd Story:
In a lecture in the Routh Hurwitz topic in Control system Vishal sir said that our home system is stable because of our Mothers. As they use to eat after feeding all the members or guests and make the system stable.
4th Story:
Vishal Sir admits in a lecture of Routh H Criteria that even if he scored less than 70% in B.Tech still he managed to crack UPSC ESE and various PSU exams. He adds that it was possible because of his commitment and dedication towards his goal and consistently working hard each and every day for a certain period of time. He said, "If you have understood the ROUTH Criteria then you can understand ANYTHING!!"
5th Story:
Vishal Sir gave us a glimpse of his preparation days in the last Lecture of ROUTH Chapter. He used to do job for 9 to 5. After returning from job, from 5:30 he used to analyze the content to cover, pyqs to solve etc. And then he sat to study from exactly 6 PM. He rigorously studied from 6 PM TO 4:30 AM without taking any break until he feels sleepy. So he advised us to do the same, i.e. to never ever stop until you finished and satisfied from the heart.
6th Story:
This is what Sir used to say to his wife when she is rude on him
"Ek Cheez Qayamat Bhi Hai Logo Se Suna Karte The
Tumhe Dekh Kar Jaana Woh Theek Kaha Karte The"
At the end:
"CONTROL THE CONTROLLABLES IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY AND LEAVE THE REST"

Vishal Soni Sir from PW now who teaches Control System subject has a very limited view in his life according to my experience and analysis. One student in a live chat in the very first class asked why we even need to study Control Systems in Electrical Engineering? As an answer to the question he mocks the student by saying with conviction that we only need to study these subjects to get a great job so that we can have a wonderful marriage with someone gorgeous or handsome. Many students felt awkward at that time but they thought that Sir was maybe joking with them. But it turns out that he was not joking when one day one student again asks the same kind of question that please tell us some real life application scenarios and examples of Control System. Ten again he postponed that answer by saying that I'll give you a best example for it later in some future lecture. I think this is a pure suppression of curiosity of the students who want to dive deep into a subject with a mindset to enjoy learning the subject as well as exploring the possibilities of innovation in that field or for getting some inspiration to pursue higher studies. These are my raw feelings after attending the Vishal Soni Sir's class for Control System Engineering in the Parakram Electrical Engineering Batch. But I also have to admit that Vishal Sir is a man of ranker mindset, he only touches upon the concepts which are highly important for securing good marks in GATE. But he lacks to add some philosophical touch to the great engineering concepts so that it touches the heart of every student.
